The Honor V40 utilizes OLED technology, which delivers individually-lit pixels for true blacks and an effectively infinite contrast ratio. This means dark scenes in movies and night-mode interfaces consume virtually zero power on dark pixels, directly contributing to longer battery life compared to traditional LCD panels. Brightness could be a limiting factor in direct sunlight situations.

The 120Hz refresh rate transforms the user experience — scrolling through social feeds, navigating menus, and gaming all feel dramatically smoother compared to standard 60Hz displays. Thanks to LTPO (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) backplane technology, the display dynamically adjusts between 1Hz and 120Hz based on content, preserving battery life during static content like reading while delivering buttery-smooth animations during active use. The 300Hz touch sampling rate ensures responsive input recognition, particularly noticeable during fast-paced mobile gaming.

At 439 pixels per inch across the 6.72-inch 1236x2676 panel, text and images appear sharp and crisp at normal viewing distances. This pixel density exceeds what the human eye can distinguish at typical smartphone holding distances, ensuring a pleasant visual experience.
